If you want to play video files on your portable devices, such as PDA, Smartphone, PocketPC or Palm, the Pocket DivX Encoder is the tool you need. It will allow you to encode video files or clips to the parameters that suit your hand held device. The program works with DirectX codecs and if your version is out of date or you don't know what version you have, there is no need to worry because the program will let you know by displaying a warning for you to update it. The program presents you with an easy to use Windows' style interface where you can upload the video files you wish to encode. The interface provides you with control options for input/output files, output options, a feature for correcting your audio/video synchronization, and you can play your encoded files back too. To play your encoded movies on your PocketPC, Palm, or Smartphone, you should install The Core Pocket Media Player on your hand held device. This is recommended by the developer for use with the Pocket DivX Encoder program and it is widely available for download. Functions included in the program allows you to resize and pre-rotate your video clips to suit your devices. |
